Jascha Narveson thumbnail
Jascha Narveson Analog Tara circa 2000 with laid back beats and jazzy keyboard stylings that'll turn any room into the coolest waiting room ever. Some slight edge to some of the percussion makes this like a slightly rougher sounding St. Germain at times.

I've played this about four times since I got it three days ago... Favorite track: Tumble Dry.

about

Fresh off a few years of performing jazz piano in NYC bars in the late '90s, Analog Tara made Upper Limits of Normal, a full-length album of slow beats and instrumental jams that layer samples of her performances on piano, Hammond organ, synths, and electric guitar along with drum machine loops run through a vintage tube amp and effects. Everything was arranged with a Yamaha A3000 sampler and RM1X sequencer, and recorded and mixed through a Roland VS880 workstation. Move D's Source Records released a version of "Defunkt" on a 2001 compilation and the self-released album had limited availability in the years after. This is a reissue for the music's 20th anniversary.
